After many years working as an engineer, tired of continual technical study, I tried a class in life drawing at a community college. A teacher there directed me to the California Art Institute for head/figure drawing. Over the years I attended an array of schools and workshops across the country with many fine painters/teachers. I feel driven to improve as a painter but don’t have an end goal such as making money or becoming even more nearly world famous. There are just those moments on canvas that, however rare, are so satisfying.
