Porn Ring

A few years ago, I wanted reference pictures for an idea I had for a painting. I knew this very buff guy, and asked him to pose for me. In exchange for the favor, he requested a disc with the digital images which I happily provided him with. He apparently blew several of the images up, and passed them on to his girlfriend. The images were all beautiful, tasteful, mostly from the back as you see above, and in all but a few he had on his britches. (Stop it you low-life, gutter-minded, pervs.)

About a year went by, and one day I got a call from his girlfriend who I also knew. She was still married to a guy she had been trying to divorce for quite sometime, had run into a wee bit of a glitch, and wondered if I might be willing to help her out. Yeah, sure, what is it? She proceeded to explain that when her boyfriend (said model) had given her the enlargements of the photos I had taken, she did not want to decorate with them, and stuck them in a pocket of a suitcase away from the prying gaze of her 12 year old son. Son goes to visit father/her husband whom she is battling with over things like custody, on the East Coast.  Takes the suitcase with the photos. Big OOPS. Now it looks like she is part of a porno ring and an unfit mother UNLESS, I can write a letter explaining that I had taken the photos as an artist for reference pictures and that they had nothing to do with porn whatsoever.

It was quite amusing to me I have to admit. I was certainly happy to write the letter, but not before I drafted my own version first. It was much better than the one I gave her. I even thought the lawyers would have been amused. I hate missed opportunities.

Maybe I’ll publish that letter for my next post.

  1. Yes, do. I can’t wait to read it! What a story.

  2. Ohhhhh how you could have used this opportunity!!! Why you could be lying on a beach in Hawaii right this minute!!
But I guess your friendship is worth more than a life on the beach, huh???

  3. That was quite an amusing story. I’m pretty sure you already have the makings of a good screen play with the plot.
