Presenting Chris

This week I am posting a study done in class by my student Chris Page. I thought he did a lovely job painting this complicated form. He captured the light beautifully, and created an interesting composition by incorporating the drape with the single object. Chris is the kind of student who studies things carefully trying to understand on his own first, but knows when to ask for help. He has a very positive attitude as well, and these things coupled with a lot of drawing experience, carry him a long way on the road to becoming a painter. Now if we could just expand his musical horizons to include Tom Waits. (Chris is a fancy shmancy music snob with five or six Phd’s, a conductors license, and the ability to play every instrument in the orchestra all at once and by himself, alone and acapulco.  His positive attitude wanes when it comes to certain tunes.)
